The FR1 and FR1-D models of the Solaro DSP platform require an optional license for Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC).

The QR1 cannot be licensed, if you require AEC, you need to order the QR1-UC which comes with the XC-SUB USB card and AEC license pre-installed. 

The required license SKU is HEARCLEARAEC and can be ordered from sales@polar.uk.com. If purchasing the license after you already have the DSP, please provide the serial number and MAC address of the unit. This is needed to tie the license to the device.

You will then be provided with a .lic file that you can then load onto your DSP using the Xilica Designer software.

Open the software and start Network View.

Double click on your DSP to open the Device Setup menu and click on the Device Option Configuration tab.

Click on Install new License file to Device, click Yes on the popup message, navigate to your .lic file and upload it.

The DSP will then reboot and once back online, is ready to use with AEC.
